For this episode, I’m doing another design diary, and this time I’m talking about my monster-themed football game Dungeon Ball.

I talk about how the game came to be and what went into its design process.  I also go into the business side of things and talk about the highs and lows of its Kickstarter campaign.

    Hi Gabe,

I don’t know when the US football season starts but I ever if your game would have been better off running then.

Personally I don’t know anything about US football so I’m not really interested in this game, at least without trying it first. But then I know this game isn’t targeted at me.

Good luck with the campaign and I can’t wait for my copy of Hunted!

January is the most popular time of the season as that’s when all the college bowl games and championships happen and also the NFL playoffs. So, that was the reason for launching in January.

I may launch another game in September at the start of the season, so we’ll see which one does better.
